On a good note, the Feds and State are replacing US 24 from my entry below Lake Perry to Grantville, KS (just this side of Topeka). I consider that an 8 million dollar gift. Most of the time when I head west, I use the highway.

Weekend at Home
It's nice to stick around home on a weekend, when the weather cooperates. Day after day, the temps have been near or over 100. Today 104. To top it off there has been no rain with the crops showing an early unproductive death. I find it hard to do anything outside.
